1. Service Description

Alpha Scout AI ("Alpha Scout," "we," "our," "us") provides an AI-powered opportunity discovery platform that identifies potential opportunities from publicly available online sources. Our platform monitors forums, social media platforms, review sites, community boards, and other public channels to find consumers who may be actively seeking services offered by our subscribers.

2. Opportunities Are Not Guaranteed Closings

Alpha Scout identifies prospective opportunities only. The opportunities and signals delivered through our platform are potential prospects — they are not guaranteed to result in a closed sale, signed contract, or any form of business transaction. Closing rates vary by industry, geography, individual business practices, quality of service, pricing, availability, and many other factors outside of our control.

We make no representations or warranties regarding:

• The likelihood that any identified prospect will become a paying client
• The accuracy of consumer intent signals detected by our AI
• The responsiveness of any identified prospect
• The ultimate conversion rate of any opportunity
• The suitability of any prospect for your specific business

Your success depends on your own sales process, service quality, pricing competitiveness, and responsiveness. Alpha Scout provides discovery — you provide the close.

3. Data Sources

Alpha Scout identifies opportunities from publicly available content across the following platforms and sources:

• Reddit — subreddits and community discussions
• Facebook — public groups, marketplace, and pages
• Nextdoor — neighborhood discussions and recommendations
• Twitter / X — public posts and conversations
• Yelp — reviews, questions, and community discussions
• Angi (Angie's List) — service requests and reviews
• Houzz — home renovation discussions and questions
• Quora — question and answer threads
• Trustpilot — reviews and consumer feedback
• Kijiji — classifieds and community boards
• Google Reviews / Maps — public reviews and Q&A
• YouTube — public comments and community posts
• LinkedIn — public posts and discussions
• Pinterest — public boards and comments
• Tumblr — public blog posts
• Medium — public articles and responses
• Stack Exchange / Stack Overflow — Q&A threads
• Local forums and community boards — user-added custom sources
• Blogs and news sites — publicly indexed content
• Any other publicly accessible online forum, blog, or social platform indexed by our search providers (Exa, Tavily, Google Custom Search)

All data is collected from publicly available sources. We do not access private groups, private messages, or any content requiring authentication beyond what is publicly accessible via standard web search.

4. User Responsibilities

As a subscriber, you agree to:

• Use identified opportunities in compliance with all applicable laws and platform terms of service
• Not engage in spam, harassment, or deceptive practices when responding to opportunities
• Maintain accurate account information
• Not share your account credentials or subscription with unauthorized users

5. Limitation of Liability

Alpha Scout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of profits, or loss of opportunities — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claims under these terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Subscription & Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time — access continues through the end of your paid billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice. Promotional codes and referral discounts are subject to their specific terms and may expire.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and Google authentication data (when you sign in via Google)
• Profile Information: Your industry, city, ideal client profile, and unique business angle (provided during ICP setup)
• Payment Information: Processed entirely through Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers or billing details on our servers
• Usage Data: Non-identifying analytics (pages visited, features used) to improve our service

2. Data We Do NOT Collect or Sell

Alpha Scout does not and will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Specifically:

• We do not sell your personal information to data brokers
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to providing the Alpha Scout service
• We do not enrich your data with third-party sources (no PDL, Hunter, Apollo, or similar services)
• We do not access your contacts, messages, or private data outside of Alpha Scout

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only for:

• Account identification and authentication: To verify your identity when you sign in
• Service delivery: To configure your ICP, run scans, and deliver opportunities
• Subscription management: To process payments via Stripe and manage your account status
• Communication: To send service-related emails (scan summaries, account notifications) — only if you opt in
• Improvement: To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the life event detection engine

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored securely on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion or 12 months of inactivity, personal data is permanently deleted. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained for analytical purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, hosting, and cloud functions
• Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management
• SendGrid: Email notifications (if opted in)
• OpenRouter: AI model inference for embeddings and reply drafts
• Exa, Tavily, Google Custom Search: Web search providers for opportunity discovery (search queries only — no personal data)

6. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Access your account data through the app settings
• Update or correct your profile information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Opt out of email notifications

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, Firebase Authentication for secure access, and server-side API key management. No user-facing API keys are required — all AI calls go through our secure cloud backend.

We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
